1. How to initialize and configure IPPBX?
1) Use an intercrossing line to connect LAN port with PC. LAN port’s default IP address is 192.168.2.1, so its IP address should be configured in the same network area such as 192.168.2.XXX. And the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0;
2) Link to http://192.168.2.1 to browse and log on IPPBX, user name and password is as follows: admin/123456
3) IPPBX configuration can be made this time
2. How to use DDNS function?
This function enable domain name match with IP address obtained from ISP. So users can enjoy dynamic domain service and need not worry even if IP address is changed. Before using DDNS, you need to register an account for free on website www.3322.org or www.dyndns.com.

DDNS service is effective after rebooting IPPBX.
3. No calls can be made between local area network users and internet users as a result of remote registry IPPBX by internet IP. Why?
Input IPPBX’s IP address on router DMZ area, which enables visit and register by internet. And RTP fails due to network penetration. Consequently, call failures happen. Log on DMZ Mode Setting to solve this problem.

As the picture shows, add internet’s IP to “External IP Address”. LAN 1 is used to configure IPPBX’s IP address in local area network. Users in the same network area can visit this IPPBX.
4. Why does the switchboard fail to work?
It is most probably that IPPBX system time doesn’t consist with your system time. Check “IPP BX System——>Time Zone” right away. Since switchboard’s time is the same as IPPBX system time. Inconsistent date may cause the same problem as well.
5. Why cannot the extension display caller ID from PSTN calls?
IPPBX’s caller ID can be set in MENU Advanced Setting——>Advanced Setting. Check whether you have selected yes in “Can Reinvite” menu. Then adjust “Caller ID for FXO Port” selection. Usually, Caller ID after 1 st Ring(FSK) is for China. In the other countries, you can select “Caller ID after 1 st Ring(FSK)” or “Caller ID before 1 st Ring(DTMF)”. Finally save configure and reboot IPPBX.
6. How to default factory setting?
Press “Restore” key on backward IPPBX and plug it in to observe status light on frontal IPPBX. Don’t stop pressing “Restore” until three continuous flashing finishes.
7. While using the same IPPBX dialing rules, why there are some users fail to make calls?
On “Outgoing Call via VOIP” configure, there is one selection for restricting users’ right. Only when users’ rights are beyond the configured right, can the outgoing calls work. Therefore, please check users’ right correspondingly. Make sure its configure is within outgoing restriction.
8. Why does the revised prefix of Outgoing Call via VOIP rules fail?
It is probable that the prefix has been used in other outgoing rules, which will cause prefix conflict and failure in revision. It is suggested that you check the current prefix firstly. If the prefix has been used, please change a different prefix.
9. How to associate with other VOIP platform?
You can associate with two VOIP platforms through adding a trusted host computer. And you also need to add a outgoing rule in menu “Outgoing Call via VoIP”.
10. At present, how many users can be allowed for the voice conferencing room?
At present, our IPPBX edition supports two voice conferencing rooms. 5 users for each conferencing room at most. Since the hardware restriction of IPPBX, voice quality may be affected if there are more than 5 users.
11. I have already input correct password. Why can’t I log on voice conferencing room?
Inputting password is a DTMF confirming process. If DTMF function isn’t supported or wrongly sent, system may suggest wrong password. For example, log on IAD1010, and you will find its DTMF mode is “In-Audio”. Nevertheless, our IPPBX system does not support DTMF mode. Just change it into “Via RTP (RFC2833)”. Then dial voice conferencing room number and input the password again.
