1. IAD100T fails to obtain IP address, why?
Firstly, check DHCP server and network connection; Secondly, connect your computer with IAD100T LAN port and log on http://192.168.10.1. Make sure WAN config is DHCP instead of Static; thirdly, be sure that distributed IP address is beyond the scope of LAN port 192.168.10.* Then reboot the gateway and try again.
2. IAD100T fails to register, why?
1) Check the network connection; use a WAN port IP address of PING to check the normal connection with internet; 2) Check account & password and register once again; 3) Clear all configure and reboot the gateway.
3. Successfully registered, but IAD100T still cannot make calls, why?
Firstly, currently-use protocol should be SIP protocol; secondly, make sure the phone's dial peer is separated; thirdly, reboot the gateway and try again.
4. How to use PSTN port (lifeline) of IAD100T?
Main function of IAD100T is that calls can be made even the gateway is intermitted from power or internet. This enable IAD100T possess function of dialing, answering PSTN and network telephone calls. Except connecting lifeline port with PSTN, you need to check if there exists "*T" in menu "Dial-peer→ Phone Number".

Dial PSTN number while hearing dialing tone. And when the gateway is power-off, dial PSTN number directly.
5. How to configure dial peer?
Our new products have strong dial peer function, so users can flexibly change settings with different requirements.
(1) Automatically add a prefix before a number. For example, if you frequently dial 0755-25118801, you can make configures such as auto-dial 0755 whichever number begins with 2.

Later on, you may just dial 25118801# to call destination number 0755-25118801.
(2) Automatically replace numbers. For example, it is troublesome to dial 0086 whenever the foreigner wants to dial 0086-755-25118801. You also can make some configure as follows:
Phone Number 0T Call Mode sip Destination (optional) Port (optional) Alias (optional) rep: 0086 Suffix (optional) Delete Length (optional) Later on, all numbers that begin with 0086 will be replaced. Just dial 075525118801# and you will get through 0086-755-25118801.
(3) Automatically delete numbers. For example, the equipment registers two SIP account. Destination 255.255.255.255 is for SIP2, and SIP1 is 0.0.0.0. If users want to make phone call by SIP2, SIP1 account is 90601748 and SIP2 account is 90601728. The Opposite party's number is 90500026.

So you just need to dial 790500026# directly, and number "7" is omitted. 90601728, instead of 90601748, are displayed when you dial through SIP2. The same configure method is used in two different SIP platform.
(4) Use simple number to map the complete numbers. For example, you can use a simple number 1 to map your frequently dialed number 0755-25118801.

6. I cannot run three-way call, call waiting, and call transfer functions, why?
1) Confirm that your system platform support and enable these functions.
2) Check configure "Advance-〉Call Service" to select “Enable Call Transfer, Enable Call Waiting, Enable Three Way Call”.
7. IAD100T still cannot work normally after it is encrypted, why?
1) Confirm that your current system supports encrypt function; 2) Check encrypt configure, encrypt port, server type etc. and confirm that Signal Encrypt and RTP Encrypt option are selected.
8 How does the gateway run call transfer function?
On WEB configure page, select "Enable Call Waiting","Enable Call Transfer" in menu Advance-〉Call Service. 1) For PSTN incoming calls, press "Flash+*+extension number"; 2) For VOIP incoming calls, press "Flash+*+extension number" as well. But you can transfer the call to normal telephone or mobile phone. Notice the dial peer while make transfers.
9. Beep sound is heard in the process of answering the phone, why?
For VOIP incoming calls, the phone will play a beep sound if there is a new incoming call. You can press "flash" key to hold current call and answer the new call. Then you can press the key again to restore the first call. But if you disable the call waiting function, users cannot call in when you are on line.
10. Whenever I log on IAD100T configure page, I have to input password twice and often fail to upgrade the files. Why?
1) If your operating system is neither Chinese edition nor English edition, please put your upgrading files under English catalogue. Or it may cause upgrading failure owing to disorderly code problem.
2) Check if there is any problem with your IE. Use another computer if you have to input password twice and unable to save configure.
11. While dialing special service number, wrong password is indicated. Why?
It is probably that opposite party's PBX/IPPBX does not support current DTMF type. So you may change DTMF type and try again.
12. Busy tone is heard once picking up the phone? Why?
Line detecting function is added in the new IAD100T edition. If gateway fails to register SIP1 and SIP2, or lifeline is not connected, the IAD100T will play busy tone to warn the users not to continue dialing. But users still can check gateway’s IP address. This function is optional.
13. It takes a long time to start IAD100T gateway. Does it mean that there is something wrong with the gateway?
Gateway IAD100T defaults to obtain IP address automatically. Due to different network environment and effect of DHCP server, instable time is needed to obtain IP address. Therefore, delay of obtaining IP address may affect the gateway's start-up time. It has nothing to do with the gateway itself. Wait patiently till it obtains IP address and start the gateway normally.
14. How to justify IAD100T status from its LED light?
WAN:This light-on indicates it is connected to WAN port successfully.
LAN:This light-on indicates it is connected to LAN port successfully.
PHONE:Bright PHONE light will be displayed if you pick up the headphone or the phone is under hand-free status. Light goes out if you hang up the phone.
REG:Bright REG light indicates successful registry. Otherwise, the light flashes if the gateway isn’t registered successfully.
POWER: Bright POWER light means the gateway is power on.
15. How to use IAD100T bridge and router function? PC cannot connect to internet after I switch these two modes, why?
1) IAD100T is in default router mode. You can select Bridge mode on WEB configure page of menu Network-LAN. The gateway will reboot automatically and then bridge mode takes effect.
2) PC cannot connect to internet after switching these two modes. That is because PC connecting with LAN port need to obtain IP address again.
16. IAD100T LINE port is connected with PSTN phone. But I cannot hear PSTN's dialing tone while dialing "*". Why?
Make sure you have added "*T" in menu "Dial Peer", which means lifeline call mode is active. Besides, you also need to add "*T" to dial rule.
17. Some basic skills to identify network fault and frequently-used commands.
1) Use PC IP address to have a check. Such as "ping 192.168.10.1"
2) Then use PC to telnet the gateway. Such as "telnet 192.168.10.1".
3) Check whether configure of ping registry server,default gateway and DNS is normal or not. For example, input "LAN port need to obtain IP a effect. key again to restore the first call. But users caping ipptec.com". Failure means that you need to check the gateway's network connection and configure.

18. How to backup and restore IAD100T configure files?
In the process of using the gateway IAD100T, many users may lose configure files because of wrong configure or default factory setting. To avoid this problem, users can back up current configure file. Once default factory setting, you just need to import the back-up files to restore them.
1) Back up: Find Config Manage menu and click Backup Config to save the configure file as txt form.
2) Restore: as the picture shows, find Update menu and click WEB Update. In this way can you restore configure files by HTTP.
